How many of you have heard "snap out of it", or "don't feel like that"; when you are feeling down, sad or discouraged? I think that it is a normal reaction for people to want to attempt to make you feel better in a snap, because they have issues with feeling uncomfortable. Many of us have learned growing up that it is not okay to have feelings of sadness, disappointment, anger or frustration. How about doing the opposite of what we are taught? How about learning how to embracing and accepting those feelings? Acknowledging and validating that those feelings. Finally, accepting that those feelings are around for a reason and this is a temporary place to visit. Give me some of your thoughts about this topic. I am eager to hear from you!
